Ukraine Exported 1.1 Million Tonnes More in January Than a Year Ago

Since the beginning of the 2023/24 marketing year (starting on 1 July) and up to 1 February, i.e. in the first 7 months of the marketing year, Ukraine exported 23.9 Mt of cereals and pulses. This figure is lower than the figure exported in the first 7 months of the previous 2022/23 season, which reached 27.1 Mt. However, it is important to note that while in January 2023 Ukraine exported 4.2 Mt of grain, last January this figure increased to 5.3 Mt, more than 1 Mt higher. This is an increase of 26 per cent.By type, exports in the first 7 months of the campaign were
  • Corn: 12 Mt (15.3 Mt in the first 7 months of 2022/23)
  • Wheat: 9.2 mt (9.7 mt)
  • Barley: 1.4 mt (1.8 mt)
  • Rye 0.1 mt (0.127 mt)
