Current Market Situation
In the present walnut kernel market, traditional varieties, particularly the north variety, are experiencing a shortage of half kernels, with most suppliers depleting their stocks. Consequently, Chinese suppliers have initiated imports of walnuts with shells from other countries to produce light broken and pieces. Stocks of Xin 2 variety are limited, with only ELH quality meeting customer demands. Quantities of LH quality are minimal, resulting in market prices reaching their peak without any signs of decline.Varietal Analysis and Market Trends
For variety 185, there are some ELH stocks available, but prices continue to rise. LH quality primarily serves the domestic market. Xinfeng (Xingfu) variety faces low demand due to its high prices, limited quantities, and lower quality. Currently, most market orders revolve around variety 185 and Xin 2.Future Outlook
Observations from the market suggest that most factories anticipate selling out their stocks by the end of May. Suppliers are expected to halt supplies due to high raw material prices, and quality degradation may occur as temperatures rise.Despite challenges in the walnut kernel market, such as shortages in traditional varieties and rising prices, Chinese exports remain resilient.
