In April, Ukraine exported 119.9 thousand tons of rapeseed. Exports are taking place at a low pace, as the remaining stocks of the old harvest are almost sold out. In May-June, the volume of export deliveries will be minimal.

Thus, the new crop of rapeseeds is more liquid. In April, purchasing prices for rape were around 450 euros per ton, but at the beginning of the current week, they sharply increased by 8-10 euros per ton. Such changes are a manifestation of the strong volatility of the market. Probably the prices will not exceed 460 euros per ton and will stabilize in the future.

According to traders' estimates, 300,000 tons of oilseeds of the new harvest with delivery in July-August have already been sold. Ukraine has significant demand from Germany. According to analysts, the upcoming rapeseed season will be successful for Ukraine. Under the worst scenario, Ukraine will harvest at least 3.5 million tons of rapeseed in 2024. According to the forecasts of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the harvest will be at the level of 4.1 million tons. A reduction in production is expected in the EU this year, so Ukrainian rapeseed has good prospects.
