Tonight, Polish farmers have unblocked all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine

In recent weeks, the gradual release of checkpoints on the border of Ukraine and Poland took place. And today the last of the blocked crossings was opened.

This is important - the effect is immediately visible from the point of view of the cargo flow of agricultural products. In the second decade of April the average volume of road transport was 13,000 tons per day. On April 29, it was already 16,000 tons. In fact, immediate increase of 20%.

This will definitely reduce the cost of transport and, accordingly, lead to an increase in the income of Ukrainian farmers.

Minister of Agricultural Policy Mykola Solsky expressed his gratitude to the Polish Ministry for constructive work on unblocking the border. The ongoing negotiations were not easy, but the main thing is the result.

It is noted that negotiations between ministries and associations will continue in the future. The parties agreed to exchange figures on the transit of agricultural products every month in order to monitor the situation.

According to the Ministry, the next meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Ukraine and Poland is scheduled for May 7, where they will discuss the terms of cooperation in the summer.
