Ukraine has witnessed a robust performance in grain exports, surpassing 43 million tonnes in the 2023/24 marketing year (MY). The State Customs Service, as reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, revealed that as of May 13, the country had exported 43.206 million tonnes of grains and pulses since the beginning of the marketing year.

Analysis of Flour Exports

In addition to grains, Ukraine also exported flour during the current marketing year. The total export of Ukrainian flour as of May 13 is estimated at 89.2 thousand tonnes, with wheat flour accounting for the majority at 84.3 thousand tonnes. This represents a decrease from the 134.2 thousand tonnes of flour exported in the previous marketing year.

The performance of Ukrainian grain exports in the 2023/24 marketing year reflects the country's significant role in the global grain market. Several factors contribute to the dynamics of grain prices, including weather conditions, global demand, geopolitical tensions, and currency fluctuations. Looking ahead, market participants will closely monitor these factors to assess their impact on grain prices and export volumes. Additionally, ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance trade relationships will play a crucial role in shaping the future trajectory of Ukrainian grain exports.
