Ukraine Finished Harvesting Wheat and Started Sunflower
As of August 26th, Ukrainian farmers have harvested 32 million tons of the new crop from an area of 8.04 million hectares.

- Wheat - 100% of the area (4.8589 million hectares), 21.74 million tons.
- Barley - 100% of the area (1.3992 million hectares), 5.5 million tons.
- Peas - 99% of the area (207.6 thousand hectares), 458.5 thousand tons.
- Rapeseed - 98% of the area (1.2277 million hectares), 3.3619 million tons.
Ukrainian farmers have begun harvesting soybeans and sunflowers.
- Sunflowers have been harvested on 1% of the area (46.7 thousand hectares).
- 51.7 thousand tons have been collected with an average yield of 1.09 tons/ha. This figure is so far much lower than last year (1.93 tons/ha).
- Soybeans have been harvested from 6.6 thousand hectares (0.3% of the area).
- 7.2 thousand tons have been collected with an average yield of 1.09 tons/ha, compared to 2.73 tons/ha last year.
Grain exports from Ukraine currently exceed last year figure by 60%.
According to the State Customs Service, as of August 26, 2024, Ukraine exported 6.385 million tons of grain. Last year, as of this date, exports amounted to 3.832 million tons.Grain exports currently amount to:
- Wheat — 3.089 million tons (last year — 1.597 million tons).
- Barley — 1.089 million tons (last year — 440 thousand tons).
- Rye — 0.3 thousand tons (last year — 0.6 thousand tons).
- Corn - 2.185 million tons (last year - 1.788 million tons).
