Rapeseed Market: Weather Risks and Harvest Delays Support Prices
- Euronext: Rapeseed prices rose to €472 per tonne (0.472 EUR/kg), driven by ongoing harvest delays in key growing regions in Canada and Europe.
- CME: Prices remained at €450 per tonne (0.450 EUR/kg), as wet conditions in Canada continue to hinder the harvest.
In Canada (Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba), rainy conditions in Manitoba and Alberta over the next seven days, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 16°C, will likely further delay the rapeseed harvest. In Europe, moderate rainfall in northern Germany and Poland, along with temperatures between 10°C and 20°C, could pose challenges for the remaining harvest.
Outlook: Weather-related delays in Canada and Europe are expected to support prices in the short term, though weak demand for biofuels may limit further price increases.
