Soybean Market: Strong Export Demand and Brazilian Drought Boost Prices

Soybean Market: Strong Export Demand and Brazilian Drought Boost Prices

Price Development

  • Euronext: Soybeans traded at €0.37/kg, supported by continued strong demand from Asia, particularly China.
  • CME: Prices were at €0.36/kg, buoyed by positive U.S. export data and concerns over planting delays in Brazil.

Weather Forecast

In the U.S. Midwest (Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska), dry weather with temperatures between 18°C and 25°C will aid in completing the soybean harvest. In Brazil (Mato Grosso), continued drought and temperatures up to 32°C are exacerbating planting delays, while Paraná expects rainfall to help with new crop development.

Outlook

The strong export demand, particularly from China, is expected to continue supporting prices. However, improved weather in Brazil could ease supply concerns and temper price growth towards the end of the season.
