Wheat Market: European Supply Concerns Push Prices Higher
Price Development
- Euronext: Wheat prices climbed to €0.22/kg, driven by lower yields in France and export restrictions in Russia.
- CME: Prices remained stable at €0.21/kg, as global supplies continue to meet demand despite declining U.S. exports.
Weather Forecast
In Russia's Black Earth region, cool temperatures between 8°C and 15°C with low chances of rain are expected, which should not severely affect the wheat harvest. In France, mild conditions with occasional rainfall and temperatures between 12°C and 18°C are expected, which should not disrupt the wheat harvest.Outlook: Wheat prices are likely to remain supported by supply constraints in Europe due to lower French yields and Russian export restrictions. However, ample global stocks, particularly from Australia and Argentina, may cap any significant price spikes in the near term.
