Price Uncertainty in Manisa's Raisin Market Amid Low Yield
There was a slight decrease in prices of raisins in Manisa last week. Importers are only buying as much product as they need and expect prices to fall further.
The dried grape market, which closed the week without any change, is still not clear. Although there is a high probability that prices will fall if demand is not at the desired level, farmers hope that prices will rise due to the low yield in order to receive the reward of their labor. In other words, market prices are still not clear. September stock market registration is 21 thousand tons, export total is 22600 tons. October stock market registration will be 25 thousand tons, if exports remain below this, prices will fall a little more. It will be clear in the first week of November.
Raw material prices also found buyers for 100 to 105 TL or 2,66€ to 2,79€ for number 9 dried grapes, and farmers' expectations last week were 120 TL or 3,19€ and above.
It seems that the market will continue like this until the end of November.
