Sugar Prices Dip as Brazil Sets New Export Record Despite Drought

Market Update: Sugar prices saw slight declines. Raw sugar prices dropped to 23.01 US cents per pound, equivalent to EUR 0.507/kg. Brazil set a new sugar export record in September, despite drought and many fires affecting the harvest. Production for the 2024/25 season is estimated at 43 million tons, a slight decrease due to the weather conditions.

Weather Forecast (Next 7 Days): Brazil (Sugarcane areas): Dry weather remains in the sugarcane-growing regions, particularly in São Paulo, with temperatures between 26°C and 30°C. The ongoing drought and recent fires continue to impact harvests.
