Sugar prices have experienced a downward trend in the last six weeks, as record-breaking Brazilian exports weigh on the market. The March/25 raw sugar contract at ICE closed at 23.01 ct/lb, having dropped from 25.5 ct/lb in early September.
While Brazil’s sugar production outlook remains strong, with export records in September, the industry continues to face challenges from wildfires and droughts, potentially limiting future production.
