Ukraine's Grain Exports Surge by 1.5 Million Tonnes in October
Record Growth in Grain Exports
Ukraine has exported a total of 14,4 million tonnes of grains and pulses since the start of the 2024/25 marketing year (MY), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reports. October alone saw shipments of 3,953 million tonnes, significantly exceeding last October’s 2,419 million tonnes.Major Crops See Significant Gains
All primary crop exports have shown remarkable increases compared to last year. Since the beginning of the current season, Ukraine has exported:- Wheat: 7.742 million tonnes (4,633 million tonnes in 2023/24 MY)
- Barley: 1.699 million tonnes (682,000 tonnes last season)
- Rye: 10,600 tonnes (900 tonnes previously)
- Corn: 4.681 million tonnes (3,806 million tonnes last year)
Flour Exports Experience Decline
Despite the surge in grain shipments, Ukraine's total flour exports have seen a decrease. As of November 1, flour exports stood at 25,600 tonnes, down from 43,000 tonnes in the previous season. Wheat flour, a major export, accounted for 23,400 tonnes, compared to 41,500 tonnes last year. Conclusion:Â
The growth in Ukraine’s grain exports reflects strong global demand and efficient shipping processes this season. With rising wheat, barley, and corn shipments, Ukraine’s grain sector remains a crucial player in the global market. Buyers may look to secure contracts as Ukraine’s steady supply continues to support international needs.Click here to reach our trading platfrom CMBroker
