Strong Demand Sparks Price Hike in Banaskantha's TJ Peanut
Strong Demand Boosts TJ Peanut Prices
The Banaskantha TJ variety of Peanut is gaining momentum in the market due to strong demand. Currently, 50-60 count TJ Singdana is priced at USD 1,04 per kg, while the 80-90 count stands at USD 0,90 per kg . Market analysts, including Neeraj Adhiya, predict that prices for this variety could climb by USD 0,04 to 0,06 per kg in the coming days, thanks to continued buyer interest.Stability in Other Varieties but Potential Upside for BOLD
Most Singdana varieties remain stable, except for Pathawada TJ. The BOLD grain variety is holding steady, with 40-50 count priced at USD 0,98 per kg and 50-60 count at USD 0,94 per kg. However, experts suggest that an increase of USD 0,02 to 0,04 per kg  in BOLD prices could occur, driven by TJ's upward trend.Groundnut Market Holds Steady Amid Sufficient Supply
Approximately 40% of Gujarat's total groundnut crop has already entered the market. Farmers and stockists are sitting on ample supplies, ensuring no immediate risk of a price dip. However, certain users lack stock due to government restrictions, impacting private holdings. The government has targeted the procurement of 1,2 million tonnes of groundnuts at minimum support prices (MSP). So far, it is estimated that 0.4 to 0.45 million tonnes have been purchased. If government procurement reaches 0.7 to 0.8 million tonnes, experts believe this will stabilize the market further and offer much-needed relief.
Temporary Decline Ends, Market Recovery Expected
Recent declines in the Singdana market, particularly over the last 15-20 days, were largely due to liquidity pressures. Export timelines for Singdana shipments increased from 30 days to 60 days, causing a temporary price drop. With those issues resolved, prices have started stabilizing.Increased Local Demand and Production Support Prices
Lower market prices have driven a rise in local consumption this year. The supply chain remains robust, supported by the establishment of processing factories in villages across Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Production has also risen in tandem with these new facilities, adding to market stability. Conclusion: Positive Outlook for Singdana Market
The Banaskantha TJ variety continues to show strong market potential, with expected price increases making it a favorable choice for traders. Buyers might consider investing in TJ and BOLD varieties as prices are set to rise. However, monitoring government procurement progress remains crucial for long-term market predictions.Click here to reach our trading platfrom CMBroker
