India to Release Report on Becoming a Global Turmeric Hub on January 15

Comprehensive Report to Boost India’s Turmeric Industry

India is set to unveil a landmark report titled "Making India the Global Hub for Turmeric" on January 15 in New Delhi. Authored by the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) and published by Academic Foundation. The report outlines strategies to strengthen India's position as a leading global player in turmeric production and exports.

The release event, jointly hosted by ICRIER and Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd, aims to bring together key stakeholders from the turmeric industry. It is including policymakers, researchers, and business leaders.

Enhancing Value Addition and Global Integration

The report emphasizes the need for increased value addition within India’s turmeric value chain to empower farmers, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and other stakeholders. It highlights the sector’s potential to contribute to India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. The report underscores opportunities for job creation and the integration of farmers and MSMEs into global supply chains.
