Guar Market Sees Strong Sales and Steady Demand In India

Guar Market Sees Strong Sales and Steady Demand In India

Surging Guar Sales in the Early Season

India’s guar market is experiencing robust sales, with 6 million bags of guar seeds already sold through market transactions and direct channels, according to Gajendra Parakh. Demand for guar seeds and guar gum continues to outpace supply, keeping prices firm.
  • Guar seed price: USD 0,64 per kg
  • Guar gum price: USD 1,25 per kg
Daily arrivals in the market range between 10,000 to 12,000 bags, with 70% of the stock being old guar and 30% new. This mix is impacting pricing and overall market sentiment. Additionally, guar gum is trading at a USD 2,40 premium per 100 kg over spot prices due to strong demand.

Upcoming Month Guar Market Prediction

Market experts predict that guar seed arrivals may decline to 4,000–5,000 bags by March. As other winter crops enter the market, guar availability is expected to decrease, making March a critical time for sellers looking to clear their stocks.

Strong Export Demand Driving Prices

Guar gum exports have remained consistent, with shipments worth USD 276 million in both January and December. Demand is particularly strong from China, the US, and Russia, keeping export activity steady. Among guar gum products, Powdered Planni Split Gum and Korma Baba have seen a notable rise in demand. With current demand trends, certain guar products—especially Korma Baba—could see prices rising to USD 0,48 per kg.

Conclusion: Market Stability with Potential Adjustments

The guar market remains strong, with high sales volume and steady export demand keeping prices stable. However, with new crop arrivals expected next month, price adjustments could follow. Traders should monitor market trends closely, as exports could help stabilize prices and influence future price movements.
