The spice exports from India marked a record high of USD 4.4 billion in the financial year 2023-24, reflecting an 8% growth from the preceding year during the April to January period. To more than double the current export figures by 2030, a strategic enhancement in the value addition of exported spices is essential.Ramkumar Menon, Chairman of the World Spice Organisation and a senior leader at the All India Spices Exporters Forum (AISEF), noted that value-added products currently make up 50% of the export volume.
