Oats prices show stability.
ODESA: In the wheat and barley price boom, oats maintain stability and don't show big price growth.
Export demand is rather poor, and purchasing activity is supported mainly by local cereals manufacturers. Purchasing prices in Ukrainian ports remain on the level 190-195 $/t. But neither farmers nor traders show big activity at the moment. It looks like the oats market is watching the crazy price rush of leading Ukrainian grains and decided to keep aside from it waiting to see the result.
This year the total area under oats in Ukraine was around 200 thousand ha. This year, with rather high yields, it is more than enough to cover local consumption and export demand from regular buyers.
